Our Systems

Prestige CCTV works closely with leading equipment suppliers to offer the very latest CCTV hardware and software enabling our clients to design a bespoke system that meets their needs exactly. The ability to provide cutting edge technology is combined with a high level of personal service. These examples are typical of the systems we install, although as ours is a bespoke design service each installation will vary slightly from the basic models.

Example System - Avermedia Hub

This system uses Avermedia software on a PC as the hub for both analogue and internet protocol (IP) cameras. The system can process a maximum of 16 camera inputs - using one PCI card and up to four expansion slots. Wherever practical we strongly recommend the use of a PC based video management solution in preference to an embedded DVR due to the significant number additional features available.

Advantages of the system:

  • Extremely flexible and user friendly
  • Can be remotely accessed via Internet
  • Unlimited scope for expansion
  • Can use both analogue and IP cameras
  • Can be integrated to your local area network (LAN)

Example System - Digital Video Recorder Hub

This system uses a DVR hub for analogue only cameras. The system can handle up to 16 camera feeds - either 4, 8, 12 or 16.

Advantages of the system:

  • Extremely robust
  • Can be remotely accessed via LAN or Internet
  • Can record in real time
  • Is the cheapest option for smaller systems

Example System - TeleEye Hub

This system uses a TeleEye hub for analogue cameras only. The system can handle up to 16 camera feeds.

Advantages of the system:

  • Extremely robust
  • Can be remotely accessed
  • Can record in real time
  • More functionality than a DVR
  • Compliant with BS8418 - required for external visually verified alarm systems

Example System - Internet Protocol Cameras Only

This system uses either Avermedia or iCatcher on a dedicated PC as the hub for an extremely flexible installation based purely on IP. The system can process an unlimited number of camera feeds.

Advantages of the system:

  • Extremely flexible
  • Advanced event search capabilities
  • Can be remotely accessed via web browser
  • Can be easier and cheaper to install
